New Skoda Concept

Skoda has revealed the Fabia RS 2000 design concept at the Worthersee in Austria that has been created especially for the 30th year jubilee of the event. The concept car is based on the standardFabia vRS and shares many of its features with the Fabia Super 2000 rally car.
“These days, the GTI-Treffen is rightly hailed by fans of powerful engines and sporty customization as the Mecca of car tuning. The jubilee year of 2011 is a welcome opportunity for us to show off our sports models and make sure that everyone knows that ŠKODA really has something to offer here.” stated Škoda Chief Winfried Vahland.
Though Skoda has refrained from providing details about the engine, the vehicle is likely to be powered by a 2.0-liter twin-turbo four that will be capable of churning out more than 200 hp.
The RS 2000 design concept has been fitted with a wide body kit that includes 18-inch powder-coated alloys to create a dynamic stance. Also, the brightwork has been blacked out. Further, the open-air cabin is fitted with four individual buckets with racing harnesses and carbon-fiber trim.
Meanwhile, the interior of the Skoda Fabia RS 2000 design concept can accommodate four occupants and gets a sharply sloping windscreen.
It remains to be seen whether the concept will go into production.
